The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team located in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Browns belong to the North Division of the National Football League (NFL) and play their home games at FirstEnergy Stadium. The team was established together with the AAFC League in 1946, and won the AAFC championship for four consecutive years from 1946 to 1949, and had a record of 14 wins in the 1948 season (because the AAFC League did not provide relevant records and results, so the results from 1946 to 1949 are not counted in the history of the NFL); in 1950, the AAFC merged with the NFL, and transferred to the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers; before the start of the 1970 season, in response to the merger of the major leagues expansion plan, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Colts (now the Indianapolis Colts) moved to the American League to compete in the American League; the team disappeared from 1996 to 1998 because the former Browns moved to Baltimore in 1996 and changed their name For the Baltimore Ravens; until the start of the 1999 season, it was established again as an expansion team and continued to participate in NFL games under the name of the Cleveland Browns, while inheriting the historical records of the team before 1995.
